My work is not. However, my wife used to be a particle physicist, and she now uses her data analysis and collaboration skills to figure out how the UK should cut its climate emissions.

Sadly, no. As a person, I do everything in my power to lessen my footprint. I use public transportation/bicycle everywhere I go, I don’t buy unnecessary and disposable things, I keep our heating as low as I reasonably can, I don’t eat a lot of meat … and of course I try to bring awareness to the issue. This is something that I take very seriously.

I do some work on flexible solar cells and others in my group work on electric vehicles. So whilst I may not be directly stopping climate change, the technologies we support will mean that we will rely less on energy sources that give out the harmful emissions that cause climate change.

None of my current work is to do with climate change. However computers are often used in modelling the climate so in the future I may use my skills to look into environmental problems.
