I think a lot of doing science is problem-solving, so I always enjoy that – you start off not knowing how to solve a problem, try some things out, and then you solve it. Do that enough times and you can advance science. This is the approach I took during my PhD (research degree).
My favourite part is definitely working with other people. I particularly like teaching students the things that I can do well: advanced coding, analysing data and problem solving. I can only do so much myself so it’s good to pass on the skills.
