Great question! My work is researching a particle called the top quark. We haven’t found applications for this particle yet, so it doesn’t help animals. But who knows? We might find out that it could when we learn more about it! My favourite animal is a dog, I love how they’re always so happy and want to play all of the time!
My work doesn’t help animals as I study space and planets. But I work on modeling which can be used in lots of other subjects so maybe computer models can help the environment and animals one day!
My favorite animal is a Snow Leopard. I love all cats. I also like birds!
Good question! My work does help animals, in a roundabout way. I am trying to find out why certain bacteria infect specific species – some live in cows, some live in pigs, some live in humans and so on. By understanding how these microbes adapt to what they infect, we can hopefully use this information in the future to help the infected animals or humans by creating new medications or chemicals that could protect you from them.
