• Question: Can humans make an artificial black hole?

      No not at the moment.

      To create a black hole you need to pack a lot of mass into a tiny space. If we wanted to turn the Earth into a black hole we would have to crush it down to the size of a marble! and even then it probably wouldn’t be very stable. The smallest black hole we know of is around 3/4 times the mass of the sun. We would need a lot of mass and a way to crush it all together to make one!

      Maybe one day we’ll be able to do that but at the moment it’s way beyond our capability. Great question!
