I don’t think I’m likely to surpass anyone famous!

So I guess the answer is: a scientist you’ve never heard of.

My aspirations are to do good work but more importantly to be really nice to everyone I work with: unfortunately some people think that because they’re a brilliant scientist (or brilliant anything, tbh) they can just be rude to people. Apart from anything else, we get more done if we work together 🙂

Great question! I wouldn’t say I aspire to surpass anyone, but there are many scientists who I aspire to be like! In particular, I aspire to be like the scientists who have supervised my research placements. When you carry out research, someone supervises your work (they’re like a teacher and they are there to help you). The scientists who have supervised and currently supervise my research are fantastic role models, so I would love to be like them in the future 🙂

I consider myself ambitious, but I don’t have anyone in particular I’d like to surpass. I’d just like to be better than the past version of myself 🙂
