My favourite genre is sci-fi, specifically dystopia. Dystopia novels are normally set in the future where something big has happened and society has changed in a way that’s bad. There is a trilogy called ‘Glitch’ I read when I was young that is about a society where humanity accidentally damaged the surface and they all live underground where they are controlled by bio-tech that suppresses their emotions. It’s a fascinating story. I also read a series called ‘Uglies’. I would recommend both if you want to see what dystopia novels are like.

I also like fantasy novels and films. Lord of the rings is an obvious one here. I also adored Harry Potter when I was young (I still have a soft spot for it now). One of my favourite writers is Brandon Sanderson who has written loads of different fantasy books. I recently read the Mistborn trilogy which was amazing! I have also read Eltantris and Warbreaker. Phillip Paulman also wrote ‘His Dark Materials’, I think the first one was made into a film, Golden Compass.
