Lucid dreaming is having dreams but being able to make decisions and influence the course of the dream. I’ve had the occasional slightly lucid section towards the end of the dream, but not that consistently. And of course there’s a harder philosophical problem here: how can you be sure that you’re actually influencing the dream, or do you just believe that you are?

Actually, how are you sure that you’re actually influencing the world around you while you’re awake? How can you prove that you have free will? Tricky questions…

I read somewhere that you can induce lucid dreaming by keeping a dream diary: when you wake up, write down what you dreamt about that night. I have never had the discipline to try this – it might work for you!
