• Question: What do you believe in on the more spiritual side of things?

      I’m not personally religious, but I don’t think that being religious stops you from being a scientist, or that being a scientist stops you from being religious. I know lots of scientists who are spiritual in many different ways.

      I’m not religious but there are many scientists who are.

      Some religious scientists believe that God created the Universe and so studying the universe is like studying God, or God’s work. There are others who believe that “God pressed the big bang button” and everything has just evolved in terms of physics since then.

      I personally don’t believe in any higher deity, I just think that everything is consequence of the physical laws that govern the universe. I guess that could be classed as spiritual in a weird way
