Most scientists believe that the big bang was the start of EVERYTHING. That means that it wasn’t just the start of all the stuff that we see around us, it was also the start of time itself. That means that we can’t really talk about “before the big bang” because there was no “before”.
Don’t worry if that sounds confusing, a lot of scientists are very confused about it too! But currently that’s the best explanation we have

I don’t know. It’s one of the questions we don’t know how to answer at the moment. It’s possible that there are lots of other universes apart from ours, but we can only do experiments in our universe.
